SEVEN WONDERS OF NORTHERN IRELAND
The Belfast Telegraph is currently running a Seven Wonders of Northern Ireland poll. Northern Ireland has a lot on offer, with hidden secrets and Irish mysteries locked away just waiting to be found. STREET ART AT THE ULSTER MUSEUM
This month at the Ulster Museum in Belfast' Botanic Gardens, is a Street Art collection. Featuring Banksy and Jamie Hewlett among others, with 30 world famous artists in total. This event is free for admission and runs until the beginning of March.
The collection is sure to bring in locals and tourists alike, however the Museum itself is well worth the visit in its own right. Centred in the picturesque Botanic Gardens, a stone's throw away from Queen's University, the Museum showcases dinosaurs, Egyptian Mummy's and modern artistry. There is also a very poignant exhibition on The Troubles in Northern Ireland, with very emotive and informative pieces. CANDY AND VINTAGE
If you fancy a bit of sweet tasting history during your stay in one our of Serviced Apartments, you can pop along to the Castlereagh Road where an original sweetshop has been restored to it’s 1953 glory. Aunt Sandra’s Candy Shop is now open to taking bookings for shows and demonstrations. From as little as £3.50 per person, you can see how this growing attraction has come through time to bring you some delicious treats.
If you are a fan of Vintage, Belfast is a great place to visit, along with a very strong cultural history to explore, there are many tucked away vintage shops and historical building to visit. Try Ann Street for Best Vintage, or time your visit with the very popular monthly Frock Around the Clock Vintage Fair. The next fair is on the 5th of February in the Holiday Inn on Ormeau Avenue.
